The Green Light Bus Tour
It started with a group of 8 girlfriends wanting to show support for Lily. They decorated their houses with green lights that would shine as bright as the love they have for Lily. To say their idea caught on is an understatement. Soon most homes and local businesses were glowing green. The Haverford Police Department and neighborhood fire stations turned on their green lights as well.
So on February 21, we filled a school bus and drove around a preplanned route and called it "The Green Light Bus Tour". The streets were lined with people clapping, holding posters, and cheering for our warrior. It was such a display of love and reinforced that with a cancer diagnosis — "No One Fights Alone".
When asked how the green lights make Lily feel, she answered, "It makes me feel like everybody loves me!"
