Eagles QB Jalen Hurts with a special message for Lily!
In March of 2019, Lily Walker & her family embarked on an incredible journey. Although It wasn’t a journey anyone would welcome, Lily still had control over the path she would take once she accepted the challenge she was presented.
At the age of 14, Lily was told she had brain cancer. The decision she made was to fight, and fight hard. Along the way, she has gained lots of allies in her pursuit to defeat this enemy. Lily and her family also developed a strong devotion to an Augustinian priest, Father Bill Atkinson. Fr Bill was a paraplegic that led an amazing life despite the challenges he faced. The process for Fr Bill to be canonized a Saint involves miracles attributed to his intercession. Lily and her family continue to hope and pray hard that she will be Fr Bill’s miracle.
The mission of A Lily for the World is a joint effort to gather as many warriors as we can to help Lily fight her battle and get that miracle, while also bringing Fr Bill to sainthood along the way. Join us on our journey as we pray to Fr Bill for his intercession to help Lily get the miracle she needs.
